This time last week, on Thursday 8 June, I was covering the election count in Dumfries, south of Scotland, as part of an ITV Border team; just after 32 million people had casted their votes in the country's snap general election, which led to unforeseeable results.

ITV Border had reported live from a number of locations bringing followers breaking news and reactions over night from the voting counts.
